When Is a Tooth Extraction Necessary?
Our goal is always to save your natural teeth whenever possible, but some situations call for an extraction to prevent further damage or discomfort. You may need a tooth removal if:
- A tooth is severely decayed or infected and can’t be restored
- You have advanced gum disease that’s affected the health of your tooth
- A tooth is broken beyond repair
- Wisdom teeth are impacted or crowding your bite
- You’re preparing for orthodontic treatment and need to create space
Before we recommend any extraction, we’ll evaluate your smile and oral health thoroughly and discuss all options with you.
